Edward Reicin currently serves as a consultant for MPC Containment International, Ltd. and M. Putterman & Co., based in Chicago. Over the course of his working life, he has also served as a trial lawyer, earning recognition from the Illinois Secretaries Association as the Lawyer of the Year in 1969. In 1962, only a few years into his legal practice, Edward Reicin helped found the law firm of Gordon, Reicin, West & Rosenbloom, where he was a Managing Partner until 1975.
Following this, Reicin became President, Co-Owner, and Director of MPC Containment International, Ltd. Primarily holding contracts with divisions of the United States Military, MPC Containment designs, tests and constructs a series of flexible and collapsible products used for fluid storage in a wide variety of field contexts. Edward Reicin led the company to employ as many as 200 employees and to yearly revenues of over $50 million. In 2007, a private equity firm bought MPC Containment and its affiliated businesses, like M. Putterman & Co., though Reicin still holds partial ownership and works as a consultant for these organizations.
Reicin is dedicated to improving healthcare and legal services to those in the Chicago area. He was the Chairman of the Board of the Near North Family Guidance Center and also began the organization’s free legal clinic. He was also the Vice Chairman of the W. Clement Stone Motivational Institute, which promotes the belief that with the proper attitude, anyone can fulfill his or her potential.
Edward Reicin is also a professional opera singer and has performed in a number of professional productions.
